Display books, lots and lots of books. To entice interest and draw the eye use colors and groupings. Giving it all a fun look!
Acquiring colorful plastic or wooden tubs to display books in your reading center is always a good idea. You can also create your own magazine style display-storage boxes for the same purpose. These can easily be created using cereal boxes with an angle section cut away. Then each student can glue paper "wall paper" facings or color these using poster paint. These can be great storage for books, papers, artwork, etc.
